Consultation

The governing body of The Federation of East Cowton and Kirkby Fleetham CE Primary Schools has been considering carefully the future of the schools in a fast-changing and increasingly challenging education landscape.  Governors have spent time researching and undertaking due diligence and now believe the best plan moving forwards is for East Cowton and Kirkby Fleetham CE schools to become academies.

In accordance with national government policy direction and the national agenda, a group of Church of England schools in the region are proposing to form a new multi-academy trust with the support of the Diocese, called Dales Academy Trust. Please take time to read the attached documents.

This is an exciting time for our schools and we want people to tell us what they think about the plans and are asking pupils, parents, staff, the Diocese, governors and the wider community for their feedback using the following link https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/GGCT38G

The consultation will run from 19th June to 8th September and you are warmly invited to attend the following meetings to discuss this issue:

Monday 3rd July, 6pm: Parent and Community Consultation @ Richmond Church of England Primary School

Welcome

At Kirkby Fleetham C of E School we believe that all children deserve every opportunity to achieve and be the very best that they can be. Our staff are committed to ensuring that the children are at the heart of everything we do, and we provide an exciting, rich and varied curriculum to challenge and inspire them. We value academic and personal success and have high expectations of behaviour and effort. Our children have fun together and work hard together.

Our School is a charming Victorian building set in a picturesque village in North Yorkshire. It caters for children aged 4 – 11 years old and consists of an Infant and Junior class. We pride ourselves on being a supportive, caring school with a strong Church of England ethos.

The children, staff and wider community are very proud of our school. If you are looking for a school place for your child, please do contact us and arrange a visit. We would be delighted to show you around.
